I just measured the other boxes just to have an idea..... they are 8" cubes. I never had normal sized chickens growing up (only banties) so I didn't think anything about the size when I put it in the coop because it looked fine to me. And now that the NHR's are looking ready to lay and trying...

Well, the laying boxes I was given are apparently too small for my 3 NHR's, they can't even fit in them sitting down so I'm fairly sure these will be fine for the banties I'm hatching. But.... I need a couple of nest/laying boxes for the 'big' girls. I have enough scrap ply to make at least 2...
