Are you sure you don't have a "cannibel" chicken? How many do you have and how big of an area. If they're crowded they can get to pecking on each other badly. I don't know what else to suggest.

When they prolapse is the oviduct coming out or are they just swollen and red at their vent?

What kind of feed are you feeding them? Do they have access to plenty of oyster shell? That is not the norm to have that many hens prolapsing.
