So we have 7 eggs today!!! Yay! I think that's our record high! Still haven't seen another light pink egg. It's so weird!

So Friday we got 7 eggs, that is our max so far. All looked familiar except on. So now I'm thinking maybe they just aren't all laying yet. That said, 2-3 of them are large enough and consistent enough that maybe they were on a nest. No one has laid a repeat of the pink egg we found in the yard...

I wish my dog would be useful for anything but opening the doors and running up the electric bill or opening the pantry and helping himself. He's clearly smart..... He's just a jerk. Lol

Still getting 6 a day. Not sure if it is the same 6 or not. Would be nice to get 3 blue/green in a day.

So the below pics are of the 6 we got today. The marked up picture shows what I think layed it: bfcm= blue french copper Marans; cm = cuckoo Marans; sg = sapphire gem; BB = prairie blue bell. Ee a given.

Ok so today we got 6 eggs! More than we've ever gotten! Usually we get 4, 5 max.... As far as new eggs go, the light speckled egg is new. I'm assuming three different hens layed these three eggs?

I looked up eggs of speckled Sussex earlier and they showed them being speckled... Now a search says they're light brown. Maybe the speckled egg belongs to the Bielefelder? Also, I didn't think heat would impact newly laying hens, but maybe it has. They're all just at 5 months maybe a bit...

Well they're about to spend their mornings penned up! The have an 8x16 run, plus 7.5x5.5 area under the coop and the same floor space again in the coop, plus the nest boxes. Should be enough space. They just aren't used to it. Kids will let them out at 4 when they get home from school!!

To hey have 4 boxes. They use the bottom two (I need to work on that part) I had cov red them with a sheet. They like it a lot better but they don't utilize the top two)
