On average an adult chicken needs about 3/4 cup worth of feed a day. This is when tubing good into her crop may save her if she won't eat on her own.

I personally have a problem with Willy Nilly pain medicine...for both animals and humans. Sometimes masking pain is not good.

I'm sorry I do not believe I would give this bird any type of pain medicine. I believe it needs food.
