Yeah definitely a pain but I've grown to like that feed (the ingredients) to the point where I'm willing to work through the issue and stick with Modesto. If I get the replacement crumble and it has issues though I may rethink my feed options.

That's where I've been ordering too. Hard to beat their pricing when they offer promo codes - thats when I just stock up. If I had a decent local option I'd go that route, but I really don't have time to drive 2 hrs one way to get feed.
I've definitely wondered how all (or any for that matter) of the added vitamins/fortifiers would pass as "organic". the modesto milling feed i use does include DL-Methionine. I guess at some point, if someone needs that pure of a feed they ought to just be making their own.
I'm not a die hard organic buyer but a USDA Organic stamp *supposedly* insures no GMO products. I'd like to know who or how many feed brands would likely fall into the organic category but choose not to pay what I assume are outrageous fees to maintain such organic status and labels. Those fees...
