    If your boy (the one you posted about) is a true olive egger, then breeding him to a dark brown layer will give you 50 percent that lay a dark brown egg and 50 percent that lay a darker green egg.     You just need one dark egg laying parent, such as a marans or welsummer and one true blue egg layer such as an ameraucana or crested cream leg bar. Easter eggers can be used but you can not be as certain of the results. This chart has been posted many times on BYC, but it gives a clear explanation:

    Olive eggers are created with different combinations of different breeds. With muffs and a beard, likely ameraucana parent and feathered legs, black color points towards black copper marans parent. 😊
