    As may be the case, I would still check the bird for bites. They can still get an infection from a bite wound. Some hens will sit very tight. What that means is that they are excellent mothers and it takes a lot of "fuss" for them to "leave" the nest. A hen may tolerate a few bites or...

    I am sorry, I am ever so panic by this post and I have not read them all. Have you ever considered that this skunk may have RABIES ? This is not normal behavior for a skunk. Do be careful. This maybe a sick animal and your hen is broody and if not messed with, she will sit tight. Duh‼‼...
