    I have never had an aggressive legbar rooster. Wow. We like them a little aggressive here. We have bobcat issues off and on and we are on right now. The rooster I have is vocal but not aggressive and his little flock is to small for him right now. Lost 3 girls in the last 2 weeks.

    Which makes perfect sense if you make a lot of them and is very responsible. I got a batch from a poor breeder....Ug really made me mad. My guess is they were seriously inbred and line bred. These are mostly just for me. I love hatching and raising babies so I have been doing one set a year...

    I only raise an hovobater full a year ;) I did 2 sets this year because I did something wrong with the first set and had a poor hatch rate. That is when I discovered my rooster wasn’t all that great. It was the first time I used him. His chicks were hard to sex sometimes. He was a bit wacky...

    Just hatched some cream legbar babies and I want to pick a rooster as a spare. The ones that I have to choose from in this batch come from good stock anyway so I probably can’t go wrong, but as far as color what should I be looking for? Should the head spot be larger or smaller?
