It's a fun gig - the selling of 6 week olds. If they don't sell, then you can keep them and sell as started pullets and charge more. You have to have the space, though. I also try to have the chicks I'm raising be vaccinated from the hatchery because those also sell faster in my area.
I sell 6 week olds very often. People scoop them up - they want chicks, but don't want to brood. I sell colorful egg layers for $20-$25 and brown egg layers for $15-$20.
I set the price at the higher amount for 2 weeks, then lower it if they aren't all gone. They usually are.
