Just a rough navel. It's all good, it'll dry up and scab over. I get at least one with a rough navel each hatch. They're the "eager to hatch" chicks. They hurry up and don't absorb everything slow enough. She'll be ok.
Oh my I'm so sorry. She just failed to thrive. I had one like that too. She lived for just a few weeks too. There's just no way to save them. It's sad.
How old is this other one? It looks like an unhealed navel from when it hatched. It'll be fine, just keep it clean. Have you noticed any pasty...
