I will ask around (here) re: number of eggs per year. It depends on many factors - Hatcheries which feed with layers feed, keep protected, etc etc will obviously have a higher number of eggs per year. We tend to feed them wheat only and sometimes (rarely) free-range. Even my Leghorns don't lay...
