Chick got lick lots by dog

If it's still chilly, then it might not be good for them to go outside... but a small brooder wouldn't be great for them either... if you get more brooders, bigger ones, though, and divide the chicks between those brooders, maybe that would work. Or a nice big cardboard box with bedding, a...

Chick got lick lots by dog

It's fantastic that she's doing well right now- keep taking good care of her! (My chickens are sending her as much luck as they can- well, if they can from that fence. Are they stuck again? Dawnwing, Moonwing, get DOWN from there and return to your SENSIBLE sister, Breezewing!)

Chick got lick lots by dog

The name question is to both but I find that older chickens prefer to be sent respectful adoration. :)

Chick got lick lots by dog

A: the only polish chick, or the only chick at all in her brooder? I've had good experiences with mixing breeds- maybe you could put another chick of a different breed in there to keep her company. B: I'm not sure- I think that my suggestion above would help with suffering, but aside from that...

Chick got lick lots by dog

If she seems to be suffering, then you should probably do something... but if she seems okay as of now, then I think it's probably best just to keep a close eye on her and hope for the best.

Chick got lick lots by dog

I have had several pairs/trios in birds, but while I've lost some birds in bigger groups, I haven't lost any in the pairs/trios. So, I don't really have experience with that sort of thing. Does anyone else have any ideas?

Chick got lick lots by dog

Makes sense... I have a chick who is ALWAYS getting sat on. Poor Sandstorm. Once I absolutely freaked out because I couldn't find her. I screamed "AHHHHH, WHERE IS THE THIRD CHICK, AHHHH!" And then I saw that there was a yellow fuzzy thing under Ebony. So anyways, yeah, you do need to watch out...

Chick got lick lots by dog

I think being on her friend's brooder will be nice for her- being together might be better. Are they very different in age? If there is a possibility they will attack one another, or if she is not very, VERY good friends with her friend, you probably shouldn't let them interact while she's very...

Chick got lick lots by dog

I'm so sorry for your chick, but it sounds like you're taking great care of her. Good luck! (Also, if the chick has any other chicks that she's close to, I suggest putting them together. My duck once got attacked by the older ducks and was extremely stressed out. Her best friend and sister...
