    Lol, they could use one.The dust from the pine shavings can get bad if it is really stirred up! I will spoil the chickens but not that much.

    Getting 3 blue eggs a day now from my 5 EE hens. Sweet. I can start selling them soon! I just gifted my first 6 to my mom neighbor for helping her while she is in a cast.Hope he is not one of those*ewww fresh eggs are gross* types.

    I will have to check my bulb. I just got some at the discount store 2 for $1.Would be good to get a tough one.They would eat the glass I bet. I got another egg today! Sweet.In 12 days I will have a dozen!

    That is a little yellow basket I had for the clothsline clips. I have a solid cap under that and the basket goes over it. These are to cover the open top of the feeder,because the hens used to jump on the top and/or somehow poo got in the top...or tip it over. Here is a better shot from last...

    I got my first egg from an EE yesterday!!!!!! I was so excited when I lifted the Boda lid and saw it in there.So 12-10 I put in the light,and 12-22 I got my first egg. Light goes on anywhere from 4am to 6am and off at 7pm-8pm.

    Ok just added the lamp.Quite bright in the ol' chicken shed now. I hope the artifical light won't stress them.Like I said they did lay before,so stopping came as a suprise. I left it on since they are hanging out inside the shed.Darn cold this am with frozen waterers!

    I said I would never put a light in the chicken shed,but after buying over priced poop and blood covered eggs the other day(one cracked too) I am reconsidering. I have a clamp lamp from the chick days. I was thinking of using a low watt fluorescent bulb. I would turn it on around 7 or 8am and...
