It is extremely hard to let them go that is why most years I practice birth control by taking all duck eggs up each morning.

I think that is what you need to do. Once you move them to their new area most likely like dh says it will be new to all 3 and they should do fine. Your growing out ducklings where will they go once they are grown out? do you have a place for them? Sounds like they have formed a bond that is...

Okay the reason I was thinking you had more geese is you said your gander instead of drake. You sound like me we have 5 birds houses right off our home a friend said it looked like shanty town. [Southern slang] but anyway sounds like you have it all covered.

I have to do the same with my feed since this time of year I have young and adults I mix it 50/50. So far I've not had any problems doing this. I still give my adults Nutritional yeast on their feed so all my birds are eating it too. You might need to think about making your goose house larger I...

Just like kids if they feel they have the upper hand they will use it and if she has run from the lil gander he'll keep chasing her .lol It's hilarious to watch adult ducks run away from ducklings. Just keep doing what your doing hopefully as the goslings mature they will form a bond.

Wasn't a silly question at all. I understand I feel the same about mine. Just can't see them sitting when it's wears on their health when they have fertile eggs so might as well not put them through the ordeal on non fertile ones. Let me know how it goes. If she is broody she may take to the...

Hissing isn't bad she'll get over that just keep on bringing the babies outside for visits. Don't let the lil ones chill though. How about some pics of your new littles. Great news on the laying.

I'd set up a small area inside her pen for visitations. Because she may not take to them right off and may need some time to get to know them. So brood inside for at least a couple weeks and visitations as often as you can and weather permits. My goose took about 2.5 weeks to accept the...
