All 13 hatched, I'm very pleased and on my just started my 2nd batch today.

I'm on day 20! All of my 13 eggs made it to day 18 lock down,and I now have 3 pipping! Exciting!

Man, I'm anxious! I want it to be 7 days already to see if this is working! LOL. I keep looking (even though I said I wouldn't) and pick up a random egg every day to see if I can see anything.. but I think the only thing I can see so far (day 3 or 4..) is the darker shape of the yolk.

What side of the egg do you candle? Pointy end against the light or rounded air-sac?

I'm going to love photographing them.. too bad I don't have any of my original camera gear now. :( Had to sale all my good stuff and downgrade so we had money for bills. Can't wait until we're steady on our feet again and I can start buying good camera lenses again.

Do you think this looks normal for day 2? I plan on leaving them alone until day 7 now, was just curious. There's a tiny black spot swirling around in the inside- could that be the chick developing?

Awesome, thanks for updating me! I think I'll save the next few days eggs and carton them, just in case this batch is messed up at 7 days because of the thermometer reading wrong.. if that happens I'll run out and get one and start again. The delay will suck, but it's all part of the learning...
