    Oyster Shells let the ladies regulate their calcium intake for strong eggshells. Chickens don't have stomachs. That was most likely grit they picked up to help grind their food.

    Those are just speckles. Texture is hard to describe. It's not as smooth as a chicken egg, but not rough either.

    They're not. Texture of the shell is different, & are rock hard. Alittle bit more true to color in this picture.
