    Bra Incubation Sparrow Egg

Booblet has been dropped off at the local wildlife hospital. It was a struggle to feed him this morning so now he is in the best place where he has the most chance of surviving.

    Bra Incubation Sparrow Egg

Thank you so much for your advice. He did start begging so I have fed him a bit when he begs. He chirps to get my attention! I need to go to sleep soon so will gradually darken the room (It's pretty dim in here already) and hope he realises it's night. I have a cool box set up with a hot water...

    Bra Incubation Sparrow Egg

I can't believe I intervened in a hatch and it was the right thing to do. I've never even had an egg let alone hatched one lol! Thanks Stacey, do you know when I should first feed it? Since I know it needs a few hours to feed on the yolk it's absorbed but it's 10pm here now so do I need to stay...

    Bra Incubation Sparrow Egg

OHMYGODOHMYGOD IT HAS HATCHED! I couldn't leave it pushing like that anymore. It was really going for it as if it had zipped and was trying to push off the top, but was never going to get it off like that, so I gently scored around where he should have zipped and he did the rest himself! He's...

    Bra Incubation Sparrow Egg

It's very humid in there now although may have got dry this morning, which could be why it hesitated . Now it seems to be trying to force it's way out of the pip hole which has got a bit bigger. Doesn't seem to want to go back inside and zip.. I may help make the hole a bit bigger? Or zip for it...

    Bra Incubation Sparrow Egg

Oh! And some blood appeared at the membrane over it's nose but that has clotted, so maybe it is actually just waiting and absorbing things still.

Ok it still hasn't progressed to zipping after 21 hours, but it keeps poking it's beak out further while having a wiggle and the clicking is very quiet. Seems it is either breathing more normally now (maybe less fluid in it's mouth) or it's giving up.

It hasn't 'chirped' at all, but I'm not sure Sparrows would. Since even when newly hatched they only make that really quiet hissy noise when begging for food. The only noise it's making is a click with each breath, because it's breathing with it's mouth open. Kind of like when a dog gets excited...

    Bra Incubation Sparrow Egg

Hi, and thank you. I'm in the UK where it's illegal to have a wild bird, unless it wouldn't survive in the wild, from what I gather (but a vet has to confirm that for a licence to be granted) but I think that's all a bit ridiculous in this situation. I'm good with what to do when it hatches...

    Bra Incubation Sparrow Egg

Hi, I hope you guys don't mind me posting here, as I do not have chickens or ducks or anything. I joined up because over the last week or so, most of the info/threads I have found on bra/boob incubation are on here! So, the story. I aquired 4 house sparrow eggs last monday (workmen removed them...
