My young chickens figured it out in one day, while they appear to be dumb, they have instinct and when it comes to water they figure things out really fast lol!

Here are my horizontal nipples, I last filled my water tank a month ago and only had to refill it as I had to clean the water due to the excessive heat here. In cooler weather the 6 gallons of water it holds should last 2 months without having to refill it.

I cannot fathom changing water daily, bless you as you are a saint for your dedication on a daily basis for your flock! I have the system I have in place where I only have to check/maintain water once a month and there is no contamination aside from the slime that we are all dealing with.
