I can see why you think that, but fermenting is more than just soaking food. It opens up the grains to allow out more vitamins and nutrients, and also allows the the eaters to digest the food more thoroughly (so they eat less). It strengthens the gut and the immune system. Has anybody tried this? I have my pigeons a bit of fermented chickens feed (nothing in it that would harm them) and they tolerated it, and I think with a bit of time they would come to like it. I am debating about fermenting pigeon feed. Good idea or bad?
