It's female! It would have much larger comb and wattples at that age if it was a rooster. And no sign of saddle or sickle feathers

At that age both pullets and cockerels will have combs. Males develop combs and wattles at a younger age, whilst pullets (females) develop them later. Around laying age, the pullet's comb and wattles will redden. That's probably what you're seeing

@Paula 53 It's a pullet because it doesn't have long sickle and saddle feathers like a rooster would.
