    Did the ones that seemed to have larger air cells jiggle when you tilted the egg? If they did, then they might just seem larger due to membrane separation from shipping damage... I wouldn't think he'd send older eggs, but I've also never gotten eggs from him... :hu If majority of the air cells...

    Heh, I always have at least 2 sets in each bator, and those aren't homemade, lol... you can never have enough, just in case one bites the dust in mid incubation... also good for checking if you have hot or cool spots... Sorry for the cracked one, unfortunately the PO is not always great for...

    For resting, check the air cells first... more damaged ones may need a bit more settling than ones that are more intact, majority wise... in the turner upright is fine... I actually like the analog zoomed hygro/therm, but many don't... you can calibrate the hygro easy, as for the therm just...

    Good, ventilation is really important, you want the eggs getting plenty of O2... plus, you can always plug up holes if it's too many... :) I do ice bath calibration for thermometers, just crush some ice into a cup, add water til it covers the ice and place the bulbs or probes into the mush...

    Go ahead and get a couple more temp/hygros, just make sure to calibrate those too... even brand new ones can be off... :) Humidity sounds good for starting, just monitor your air cell growth and adjust it if needed... As for ventilation, yes, I would add some more... just watch that it...

    Sounds like one of your thermometers is off a bit? 97°F is too low, but 38°C is correct temp... did you calibrate your thermometers?
