    As long as they are in a dry area Coccidiosis is usually not a problem. Wet conditions can cause the numbers of that bug to explode. Do not get hung up on the age of the chicks, that doesn't matter. It's the exposure that counts.

    That's not what I said at all. If you have a history of problems with coccidiosis then preventive steps are a good idea. If you have current problems with coccidiosis I think it would be silly to not treat it and take care of the problem instead of just letting your chicks die.
