Well I don't either, I sold a lot of them before winter, and I am rebuilding my flock all winter so I will have enough breeders when Spring comes. I haven't shut down completely though. -

Different bloodlines have different markings is what I think. My hens from one breeder have some rust, while the hens that I hatched from another breeder had no rust at all. Now I have some hens with rust, and some hens that don't.
