Managing a rooster is not hard. I know there are plenty of ways to make a rooster "nice" all over this site. Some say carry them arou d like a baby and pet them as much as possible.

D'uccles don't get big wattles in the first place. That's a cockerel. I have some d'uccle hens that are 5 months and they are just starting to get red combs.
