    They may be confused about the leghorns. Leghorns lay a ton of eggs, but only end up being 4-5 lbs. Dominiques are sometimes used as meat birds, but the females are also pretty good layers.

    Sorry, one of the "bard"s up there turned into barf somehow, and usually a cockerel is bad news. I got a little carried away after that. I think I see two BR cockerels, but one looks female.
