Our BLRW, Mindy, decided to give us a few more little ones this summer. :) Here she is with 3 of them. There's a brand new 4th chick under her, and one more pipping. These guys all hatched a day early, so I'm still hopeful the last two eggs that aren't doing anything yet will still hatch...

We've had a couple hens hatch out babies this year. The first is our bantam cochin, Garnet. We gave her three eggs from my mom's chickens and the only one that hatched out was the EE egg. The other is our barnyard mix, Cardinal. She snuck a bunch under her. ;)

The opposite of Flower is Feathers. She's a sweet little thing who doesn't mind when we reach underneath to check her babies. :) She hatched out one little one today, and has two more on the way! :)

This is Flower. She is a mean broody--we have the pecks on our hands to prove it. :lol:

We have two broodies right now--both bantam cochins. Feathers is due on the 30th, and Flower is due May 8th. Feathers is a first-time broody, but her mama, Jet is an old hand, so she must have inherited the broody genes. :) Flower has brooded before, but it's her first time with us. Both...
