I had started growing bay leaf from a seed a couple months ago. It was four feet tall and doing very well. A week ago, when I was replanting my garden, I think I must've hit its roots because now it is dead :( however it was very easy to grow from seed and I recommend it!

They like humidity, but CA's pretty dry. As long as you water it it will survive. Make sure it has bark before you put it outside if it gets cold. You do need an A and B type to make fruit

Excited to see how this round goes! I’d also recommend growing an avocado from a seed, in my experience they’re a lot easier and less finicky than citrus :)
