Ive used soda (Coke) & found dead rats, so It either works, or 3 just happened to die the same night in my coop!

Try a fresh can of soda in a pan at night. The sweetness will draw them to it,and when they drink,they will die.It bloats them to death,& its safe if another animal eats the rat!
