It finally died for good the next day. It was wonky from the beginning and was just failing to thrive. I did everything I could. But yeah it blew my mind too and I read about it and yeah they can appear dead from being hypothermic and come back after being warmed. But there was no way to stop...
HOOWW IS THIS BABY STILL ALIVE!?
So I get up this morning and all the chicks are out because I moved them from what I call the crib to their big brooder. Apparently the little runt ran out with them but since they were busy running around instead of huddling on it it chilled. I found it laying...
The little runt is doing better after all the syringe reading. Even came out and ate by itself this morning. Fingers crossed for a pip on that last egg today
The little one seems to be getting tiny bits of strength each time I take it out. I try to keep it under 5 minutes and just get some sustenance in. I'm going to assume it's like wildlife rehab and every 1 to 3 hours is crucial at first. And I guess that's the best I can do. The little bag turned...

The last one out came a couple hours after everyone else. It had been pipped for a while and it finally started to zip. The membrane looked weird to me. But it looked like it was coming out. Until one knocked it to the side. There was some sort of orangish brown juice in it. It's mouth started...
One just never pipped. Candled it real quick while I was taking everyone out and was pretty sure it wasn't alive. And sure enough it wasn't. It looks like it made it to about day 18. So I had one quit around 7 to 9 days and one around lockdown 🤷🏼♀️
So I've got 19 chicks. Waiting on number 20 who's due tomorrow. I sure hope it hatches. We had a storm this morning and our power was out for a couple hours. I hope the combination of high humidity all day yesterday while everyone was hatching and then no power this morning wasn't too much for it.
