That's what I thought because I had another hen laying on eggs but one day I went in and a few were smashed and then she stopped laying on them. This one seems like she will protect them. Just mostly worried about them in the nest box because she's in a top one which is quite high

My broody hen just hatched some chicks. I can hear them underneath her but haven't seen them yet. She did have 6 eggs last time I was able to check. She's very protective and doesn't let me get near her when she's in the nest box. Because of this I never moved her and the eggs. Just wondering if...
