The more you open the incubator, you are bringing in cool air and delaying hatch to the other eggs. Some eggs may even quit Just patience my friend. That's why they call it lockdown. You don't open until the hatching is over -

Just make sure the bedding isn't made out of cedar. Wood shavings is fine. -

Three days is fine. In the wild, the birds stop turning 3 days before hatch. You can add protein by crumbling hard boiled egg...great source!
