Totally agree! Katahdins are the best!

Yeah! They all had the same father. Travis and Trevor were full brothers and so were Trent and James LaBrie.

You have an appropriate user name! I am glad I'm not the only one. I feel bad saying I don't like an animal, it's not their fault. But I only enjoy looking at goats from afar now. Someone else can deal with them!

I guess you have to be a really laid-back person to love goats. And that's not me! I need animals to calm me down not drive me crazy! 🤣

They sure were cute when they were little. The one on the right (Trevor) had "helicopter ears" when he was a baby; they would stick straight out sometimes!

Nubians keep brush down too. They killed many of our invasive honeysuckles. But I like to say goats are like antibiotics - they kill everything, the good stuff and the bad...except they don't eat a lot of the bad stuff, like creeping charlie or goutweed which chokes out the good stuff...

Cool! Dream Theater fan? Some of my family members are. I am into other progressive metal bands. We were originally going to name James Troy to continue the "Tr" names, but then we noticed he "sang" just like James LaBrie! :gig

I don't know if they're louder than other similar breeds, but, yeah, they sound kind of like higher-pitched cows.

I used to have Nubians...and I used to like them...but they were high maintenance in this climate and constantly escaped and ruined things. I'm sticking to Katahdin sheep from now on. Travis, Trent, Trevor, James Labrie, and Trot (and Muffin the sheep in the back)
