Well, they go inside on their own just after the sun goes behind the mountains. This time of year it's around 4:30 p.m. The flash used in that photo makes it look darker than it was.
Sorry, I missed your response somehow! As far as I know they are all from the same hatch. I did decide to stop the B complex. It's getting very cold and I just didn't want to keep taking them out of the coop every night. I have not given them nutritional yeast since I changed their food to...
Anyway, I have updated my duck house and the article, if you're interested. https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/dog-house-to-duck-house-conversion.78852/
So I haven't noticed any change in Winona, but I did see my other ducks' legs doing the same thing, especially when they were excited. Are we sure the slight leg twitching isn't normal? She's been on the B complex for 3 weeks.
No, sadly, too cold for the pool. Funny you mention exercising her legs. I had to chase all of them to catch them and put them into the coop this evening and they ran all over the pen. It seems they don't recognize their ramp in the snow (it's the first time they've seen this much snow). 🤣
Made time to watch the ducks in the daylight today. Winona looks the same - legs still jerking. I have decided to only give the B complex to Winona so I don't run out. I don't see any issues with the other three right now.
Thanks for checking in. I've been too busy during the day to check on Winona properly. And I skipped a day of B vitamins - whoops! I will keep going with the 1ml a day unless you think she needs more. She is still walking and foraging with the others and doing normal ducky things.
@Miss Lydia I just got a video of Winona. I hope you can see her legs jerking in it. She has been happily foraging with everyone else today as usual.
