Firefighters are injured often, especially late in the season when they have been run into the ground...they're more accident prone. I haven't heard of any perishing in the fires here in Oregon.

Luckily they haven't been represented in the local news, I don't think they're doing much here. While I'm not on board for all things Redcross, in this instance, I do see that they are doing the bulk of putting people in safe shelter. i.e. hotels etc...
Hi Folks, it's really thoughtful of you to start a thread on this issue. I'm in Oregon and volunteer regularly. The word is material donations are hard to organize, sanitize and distribute right now.
