    I would be inclined to agree with you. BSL fits well enough for the pullet. It's the cockerel with five toes that's confusing. Since it's unlikely to be a random mix if it's from TSC. Most BSL at least have a tinge of black.

    Not all Marans have trotter floof. Before I joined BYC I was accustomed to clean flappered Marans hens.

    Very interesting. The pullet does look like a BSL... If I took them as a pair I might have said BC Marans...but there are a few things that rule that out. One being the interesting discovery of the five toes on the cockerel's foot.
