Barring don't hide except on something like white. If either of those roosters carried the barred gene it would be showing.

Well if those are the only two choices for dad then the hen isn't the mom.

I'd say the big guy is the father out of those two choices. Would help if you had a pic of the whole bird instead of just a patch of him.

That bird is barred so one of his parents also had to be barred. (Or possibly white hiding barring) You are missing one of the parents. The colorful feathers are just some color leakage coming through. You big guy looks kinda like an andalusion.
