That's a brooder plate type thing isn't it? I don't use one so not sure but doesn't seem like a thermometer on the floor underneath it is gonna give an accurate temp. Idk, someone that uses them can correct that if I'm wrong. Does it feel warm at all? It shouldn't be like hot like a pan or anything.
