One of them unfortunately got taken by a predator, but I got a picture of the remaining one.
Next to it is a Maran cockerel that was hatched at the same time and I thought maybe their saddlefeathers could be compared.
I haven't heard any crowing yet nor does it seem like my mom have either.
Then again, none of the confirmed or almost certainly confirmed cockerels (silkies, Maran mixes and a purebred Maran) in the group seems to crowing either or maybe I just haven't heard them yet.
Could also be the older...
Oh, I hope you're right then!:)
I only have this, were I tried to show the hackles of one of them (I hope that's the right name), but I'm not sure if it's clear enough to tell anything and that's why I didn't upload it at first.
I'm going to my parent's house tomorrow, I'll see if I can get...
Sorry for slow reply, I forgot about this thread.
Anyway, thank you for your answer and it is as we thought then:(
I thought they atleast somewhat followed the standard for Araucanas? Lack of tailfeathers, a beard (and I think I saw on the pictures of the parents, atleast one possible parent...
Like the title says, my mom has 2 Araucanas that hatched around the 30-31 March and while we're pretty much certain one of them is a cockerel, we're not as sure on the other one.
The one most likely a cockerel:
Suspected cockerel, but with slight hope of pullet:
Looking forward to hear...
