    Fermented feed in winter??

Ya...I thought the freezing would mess up the enzymes and such. Thank you. I think that's a good idea to feed only the amount they can eat in that short time. Then they can eat the layer pellets the rest of the time. Or I can feed them a few times a day. Whatever works will be done. Lol.

    Fermented feed in winter??

I'm in Ontario, Canada. There's no free ranging right now with the frozen ground and so much snow. Lol. I also have layer pellets available for them all day long. They don't eat them very much though. Maybe I'm giving them too much of the fermented feed right now. If I give them less then...

    Fermented feed in winter??

Yes I ferment inside. 😊 But the feed freezes after fermenting when I feed them. It takes about 30-40 minutes for the feed to freeze. I can break it up easy enough, and they go wild for it again. Lol.

    Fermented feed in winter??

Hello peeps. I'm feeding my girls fermented scratch and they are loving it. BUT...it's very cold here, often at or below -10°C. Today it is -18°C and the feed is frozen. I drain it really well before I take it to them. And then I break it up when it freezes and the girls still eat it. Are there...
