I hope that nobody is refused help no matter the circumstances of them getting birds, obviously there are more people like you who recently got chickens and not as a panic buying, I hope you are enjoying raising your chickens, I am glad you found this site and have a community of people who are...
Oh god that's awful, I hate Easter buying too, and now we get Easter buying mixed with panic buying and it can't lead to any good, I'm so glad you were able to give them a good home though
I have just been thinking of people that won't want them once they figure out they are a lot of work somehow it completely slipped my mind that people would get chicks and not be raising them right (should've thought if that it seems obviously now lol) I feel bad for those chicks, I really hope...
Yeah some people do that, I was just saying what I planed on using my geese for, and even though they aren't guard geese they are gonna get tons of treats!
Yeah, also I'd like to point out most domestic ducks lay on a daily basis like chickens or some have even been know as better layers than chickens only wild ducks lay seasonally, and I agree they are freeloader, I'm soon to be a new geese owner and they are purely for ornamental and pet purposes
I doubt this actually has anything to do with panic buying but I've been keeping track of my pet chicken Sebastopol availability and they've been backed up until may 11th and all of a sudden they just got availability until then (probably cause people cancelling orders) and even though this...

Yeah, I personally agree with it, who knows the supplies could be infected with COVID 19 and also discourages people to over stock on stuff (buying most or all of a stock and hoarding is illegal even when it's not a pandemic because then other people can't get supplies like how it is now) and as...
I don't think anyone or at least I hope nobody gets an animal with intentions that they won't keep it, it's just people don't understand the responsibility
I live in a city (limit of 12 poultry) I currently have 7 birds and since it's a small flock they are in a small coop (although currently a big coop is in construction) and so I'm able to just throw away the bedding, normally takes up one trash bag full
So as many of us know there has been a giant boom in chicken buying due to covid-19, which in my opinion makes sense, but I was wondering what everyone's thoughts are on it? Do you think it'll be like people who buy bunnies and chicks for Easter and a bunch of animals become unwanted/homeless as...
