Nothing, other than to see if it would help soothe her voice. Like how humans drinks honey tea to soothe their voice.
Also, 60 grams to a gallon is 1.5% sugar by weight. That's hardly anything.

Unfortunately, I did not hear the pullet make the noise today. Which is odd, I normally hear it every time I visit.
Though, I did add 60 grams of sugar to their 1 gallon of water. Maybe that helped soothe her throat.
My flock is 2 months old now.
Since the 3rd or 4th week, I've had one Rhode island Red pullet that makes this squeaking noise instead of the normal clucking noise. It's like a whining squeak... maybe like a squeaky toy.
