Nutrition wise no difference. I switch mine to pellet as soon as the are finished with the medicated chick starter grower. I don't ever make a mash, so pellet works better for me.

I have found chickens waste a lot more crumble than pellets. Crumbles just seem to merge with the dirt upon impact.

Can they not reach and eat what falls on the ground? If you only have the two chickens I would just toss a Vienna sausage cans worth of feed directly on the ground and let them scratch for it instead of giving any Treets. They only need 3 or 4 ounces a day each and enjoy scratching for it...
