Saw that the pre-orders are being taken for the calendar, and saw the pic of the back cover. I have not seen a list of the members of the chosen pics.

Some were removed if they didn’t meet size requirements. (See post #1). Did you check the size of the photo?

:gig wasn't directed at you. I was just thinking if we are using the "like" system as part of the weight (which I love that idea!) it could skew the votes somewhat. But I'm sure the judges can handle it just fine, so no worries.

I wish each entry would have been done in single posts, instead of some having 2 submissions in the same post. Too late to do anything about it now, I suppose, but maybe next year, we could specify to submit each bird in individual posts?

When you crop, you don’t change the original resolution, but the original has to be high enough that when you blow it up to letter-page size, it doesn’t distort. If you start with very low resolution, blowing it up distorts it. If you start high, you can crop and still have enough to blow it up...

Are you trying to crop out background stuff you don’t want shown or what? The guideline is a minimum size to get good resolution when it goes to printing the calendar full size page. Smaller images blur when blown up to be printed on a full page. A larger image is fine. If you are trying to...
