Added eggs while incubating - update: all 6 ducklings hatched and younger egg in incubator

So sorry to hear about Donsje's babies. I'm not sure about the feet, someone else more experienced than me will know... I'm curious for an answer too though. Need to check mine... Also, I had never noticed before, but noticed it on mine, and just noticed it in this pic of yours.... the...

So adorable. Nice pics. Love the flowers! And yes, their poop is something awful isn't it. The places you find poop will amaze you! Wait till they get bigger, I think they AIM it like a gun!! Lol

Mine love it when I clean out their pool! They want to dive in before I'm even finished re-filling it! But then its dirty again in five minutes. I keep asking them if they like it so well when its clean, then why do you mess it up so fast? LOL They ARE NOT answering me!!

Cute pics! My girl is a black Swedish. Well, splash, I guess, because all her yellow has turned white and she's about half black, half white. I have 2 more that are almost all black, just a little white on the chest, and one that is almost all white, with just a little black on the bottom of his...

The pool is a cute idea. Can't tell exactly how deep it is, but ducklings should have a hard time getting out of it. Curved sides, and slick. Mine are 6+ weeks old and still have a little trouble getting in and out of their plastic kiddie pool! But they can climb, so just don't put anything...

Lol! I had mine against a wall and there was poop and food a couple feet up the wall and I'm going WTH? Lol. Ended up putting one of those plastic table cloths behind it to protect my wall!

Ducks need to be able to submerse their bills completely, to clean out the nostrils. They get a mouthful of water, then shake their heads and splatter it everywhere!

You can read all you want about ducklings and their messes but it never quite compares to living it, huh? Lol. I was told and told and read how messy, but I was still amazed! And how fast they grow! If you can get a pie pan or something under the water, it helps some. And water and food as far...

How big is the spot sticking out? If its small, like maybe the size of a pencil eraser, just be sure he isn't on anything rough that might hurt it. It will withdraw in a few days. I put a little Neosporin (without painkiller!) on it just a couple of times, but I'm not sure it was really...

I had 2 ducks take over 40 hours, so I feel ya! Are you talking to them? Play some chirping sounds to them if you can. Hopefully the other little guy can motivate them all!

I'm thinking usually within the first couple hours they are dry enough, but it depends if it was a little sticky coming out, it might take a little longer. And your humidity level will effect it too.

Its normal for ducks to take 24-48 hours from pip to getting completely out (according to Storeys Guide to Raising Ducks) so dont panic yet! Good luck!!
