Should I have water and feed in the coop? Pro's & Con's

I keep food and water in the run. It’s enclosed and predator proof so no problem with that type of loss. Chickens are not as messy as ducks but they’re still messy and it’s better to keep the mess in the run.

Should I have water and feed in the coop? Pro's & Con's

I keep food and water in the run. The run is covered and secure. I turn on coop light before dawn and open their pop door and they come off the roost when they are ready. Having water inside the coop in below freezing temperatures in the winter may increase the risk of frostbite to your chickens.
