    It's too bad that off topic tangents are so unfortunately frequent here. The hopper door is going to be key as is the weight/strength of the ducting. Sorry, I don't have any brilliant ideas, never worked with this stuff before.

    Actually they probably do ingest it along with the feed......the thought that it can pass thru them without change and become part of the environment is an interesting concept.

    DE mixed into feed will kill most bugs that might be in there..... .....many feeds/grains already have it for just that purpose during storage.

    That's a lot of weight...bushel of shelled corn is about 50 pounds? Not sure what the volume size would be? Why do you want to store so much.....lots of chickens?...cheaper to buy large volume?
