    I like to feed a flock raiser/grower/finisher 20% protein crumble to all ages and genders, as non-layers(chicks, males and molting birds) do not need the extra calcium that is in layer feed and chicks and molters can use the extra protein. Makes life much simpler to store and distribute one type...

    Maybe take 2 of the older birds that do not bully the newbie and house them together..... .....once they form a 'unit' integration might go smoother.

    Escapes look great! Shade is the most important..and lots of cool water.....misting is great in a dry climate. I dump piles of ice cubes on the ground in the shade and in a large shallow pan.
