    That might be true at first......but they can get used to the 'extra' space. Body heat filling a coop is not what keeps them warm, their feathers keep them warm and copious ventilation is better for their health overall.

    Pitch is the angle of the flat part of any kind of roof. Pitch had a lot of other definitions too....like a cricket pitch. :D

    That's a pitch ;) enough for rain to run off nicely. A gutter or large roof overhangs will get the rain away from the coop/run.

    Look for shed plans instead. How will you get materials to build with if you have no transportation?

    Learn to shovel with the left....awkward at first(and maybe always) but stick with it as it really helps balance out the wear on your body.
