    Likely true. Still don't hurry. You only have a pair ... Never fly a bird you can't bear to lose. Raise some babies first. They won't miss flying while raising young.

    Y Good, still keep them captive for awhile yet but you probably won't have to raise 3 clutches to home set them. What kind of predators do you have besides raptors. I.e. raccoons, fox, coyote, snakes ,rats.? Usually pigeons are not hit by cars but 2 of mine were bx they found a source of grit...

    This is perfect advice for homers. The afghan may be a bit easier, especially if they are show types or high flyers. I think we can research a bit more to figure it out, ... or OPmight want to get more info from seller if possible.

    @KiwiandPeachthePigeons My tablet still broke so I'll be brief now. Keep them in for a while yet as you just got them ... They need to get their bearings. A nest box would be good to place the bowl in to protect babies from drafts.

    Mine are outside even at -15 F as long as they have a draft free spot to perch inside their loft. Yours should be the same.

    I love NM!! It's fine, I worry when it gets to zero or below. You birds are good looking, are they high flyer types or what, if you know?

    Many do, BUT I have twice widowed cockbirds that found new mates, as well as one cockbirds covering several hens. Some do cheat on their mates and I have had same sex pairs too.
