    I wouldn't worry about the humidity just get the temp stable. The humidity should come up when you add eggs. Then I'd leave it stabilize for a good day let the temp come back up and see what the humidity is at then you can judge whether or not you need to add water

    Be sure to take your reading at egg level not at the very top of the incubator. I lay mine right on top of the eggs

    Most likely your readings are off. The humidity isn't that critical unless it's really high and it can be monitored with candling and noting the size of the air cell.
